Snackaroo Vend

Privacy Policy.

We respect your privacy and take the security of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

VERSION 1.1 · LAST UPDATED MAY 2026

1.Who We Are

Swiss Debosselage Pty Ltd (ABN 36 604 416 257), trading as Snackaroo Vend ("Snackaroo", "we", "us", "our"), is an Australian-owned vending machine service business based in Fortitude Valley, Queensland. We operate the website www.snackaroo.com.au and provide free vending machine installation, stocking and maintenance services to workplaces across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich.

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information we collect through our website, enquiry forms, and during the course of providing our services. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2.What Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services and respond to enquiries. The information we collect includes:

  • Contact details — your name, business name, email address, phone number, and workplace suburb or address when you submit an enquiry, referral, or support request.
  • Workplace information — approximate staff numbers, type of workplace, and any other details you choose to provide to help us assess site eligibility.
  • Support and feedback content — any details you share when reporting a machine issue, submitting a product suggestion, or providing feedback.
  • Technical information — your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This is collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 5).

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial, religious or biometric data), and we do not process payment information through our website.

Children's data: Our services and website are directed at workplaces and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through our website, please contact us and we will delete it.

3.How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information you provide for the following purposes only:

  • To respond to your enquiry, referral, support request or feedback.
  • To assess your workplace's eligibility for a free vending machine and arrange a site visit.
  • To provide ongoing vending machine services, including stocking, maintenance and support.
  • To process and pay referral rewards under our Referral Program (where applicable).
  • To improve our website, services and customer experience.
  • To comply with any legal or regulatory obligations.

We will not use your information for direct marketing, send you unsolicited newsletters, or sell your information to third parties.

Referral Program — third-party information: Our Referral Program allows individuals to submit contact details of workplaces (third parties) they wish to refer. By submitting a referral, you confirm that the contact you are providing has consented to being contacted by Snackaroo Vend regarding our services. We use referred contact information solely to assess the referred workplace's interest in our services and arrange a site visit. Referred parties may contact us at any time to request deletion of their information.

4.Who We Share Information With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information with the following trusted third-party service providers, strictly to operate our website and deliver our services:

  • Squarespace, Inc. — our website hosting provider. Squarespace hosts the website you are using now and operates its own performance and visitor analytics, processing technical data (such as page visits, browser type, device type, IP address, and performance metrics) directly on its platform. Refer to Squarespace's Privacy Policy.
  • Formspree, Inc. — our form submission processor. When you submit any form on our website, your information is transmitted to Formspree, which forwards it to our team by email. Refer to Formspree's Privacy Policy.
  • Google LLC — we may use Google Analytics and/or Google Search Console to understand how visitors use our website and improve performance. These tools collect anonymous usage data. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

Some of these providers are based overseas (including in the United States). By using our website or submitting a form, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in these locations under the privacy frameworks of those providers.

We may also disclose your information where required to do so by Australian law, a court order, or to protect our legal rights.

5.Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that helps the website function and helps us understand how visitors use the site.

The cookies on our site include:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function (set by Squarespace).
  • Performance and analytics cookies — set by Squarespace to monitor site performance and visitor behaviour, and (where enabled) by Google Analytics to provide additional usage insights.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling cookies may affect website functionality.

6.Data Security & Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Enquiries and personal records submitted through our website are stored within a reputable business email and document platform, where data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We also rely on reputable third-party providers (Squarespace, Formspree, Google) that maintain industry-standard security measures, including encryption and access controls.

Retention periods: We retain personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law:

  • Enquiry and referral data — retained for up to 7 years to meet Australian Taxation Office record-keeping requirements and any potential legal obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
  • Support and feedback submissions — retained for up to 2 years to allow for follow-up, dispute resolution, and product improvement, then deleted.
  • Website analytics data — retention is controlled by our analytics providers (typically 14–26 months for Google Analytics, and up to 24 months for Squarespace analytics).

You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 10).

Data breach notification: Although Swiss Debosselage Pty Ltd is not currently subject to mandatory compliance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), we commit to following the spirit of the scheme. In the event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as reasonably practicable.
